1. What this product does
SolarSavings.energy provides solar planning calculations and demonstration software for installers. The public calculator is not a homeowner lead-generation form: it shows results without requiring a name, email address, phone number, or account, and it does not automatically send calculator information to installers.
2. Calculator inputs
We process the ZIP code, approximate home size, number of stories, monthly electricity bill, and optional address entered into the calculator to generate a planning estimate. An optional address may be sent to a public or third-party mapping/data service to look for a roof outline. SolarSavings does not create or retain a homeowner lead record from these inputs, and results are kept in your browser session so you can view them.
3. Contact messages
If you use the contact form, we process the message, topic, and any name or reply email you choose to provide so we can read and respond to it. The message is delivered to our business inbox at solarsavingsenergy@gmail.com. It is not connected to calculator results, added to a homeowner lead list, or automatically sent to an installer.
4. Anonymous usage measurement
We may use privacy-minded aggregate analytics to understand pages viewed and anonymous product milestones, such as starting the calculator or viewing a result. We do not intentionally send calculator inputs, street addresses, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or electricity-bill amounts in analytics events. Analytics providers may still process technical data such as browser, device, IP address, referrer, and timestamps under their own policies.
5. No sale or automatic sharing of calculator data
We do not sell calculator data to data brokers, and we do not route it to solar installers. A future installer-branded calculator is configured only with that installer's approval and will have its own applicable terms, privacy notice, and destination settings. This public site does not create an installer introduction from your calculator use.
6. Service providers and data sources
To run the service, we may use Amazon Web Services for hosting and email delivery; mapping and energy data sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder, OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo, and NREL/OpenEI; and analytics services such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel where enabled. These providers process information under their own policies. We use these sources to operate the calculator, not to build a homeowner lead profile.
7. Retention
Calculator results are stored in your browser session until that session is cleared. Aggregate analytics are retained according to the relevant analytics service settings. Contact messages may remain in our business inbox for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, and comply with obligations. Historical records created before this policy update are not newly shared or repurposed by this product change.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Do not include sensitive financial, medical, government-ID, or account-password information in a contact message.
9. Your choices and questions
You can use the calculator without contact information and can clear its browser-session result by closing the session or clearing site data. For privacy questions about a contact message, email solarsavingsenergy@gmail.com.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
